Tim Yeo - Shadow Secretary of State for Trade & Industry and Clive Allen - Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Somerset and Frome, visited Cucklington on Tuesday 21st October, to meet members of the Save the Vale Action Group and their supporters. Tim Yeo pledged his total support, and that of the Shadow Cabinet, for the Campaign against Wind Turbines and challenged the Government's Renewable Energy Policy. Mr Yeo went on to say that “Renewable Energy has an important role to play in meeting our electricity needs, but it doesn't have to be achieved by siting Wind Turbines in one of the most beautiful parts of Somerset”.
